Innovative solution for intelligent hand soldering
With the i-CON 2(V) MK2, ERSA has developed a soldering station that meets the requirements for the higher working temperatures and increasingly smaller process windows of lead-free soldering processes. The electronics station has a second connection for an additional i-tool or, alternatively, for tools for desoldering SMD or wired components. The i-CON series is, of course, antistatic.
A firmware update can be carried out via the micro SD card slot.
Innovative technology – the highlights at a glance:
· User-friendly “one-touch” operation of the software with online help and simple menu navigation using i-Op menu selection. Large multifunction display.
Three power levels are available, controlling the heating element depending on the required heat demand. At the highest setting, the system delivers a maximum output of 150 W. At the low power level, the power is tightly controlled and no temperature overshoot is allowed.
Process window and alarm visually and audibly inform the operator if the temperature leaves the pre-set temperature process window.
· With the i-Set Tool Vario option, further i-CON soldering stations can be automatically configured and locked. The station settings can be quickly and easily downloaded from an i-CON to the i-Set Tool – like using a USB stick – and uploaded to another station within 5 seconds.
i-Tool
The i-Tool is an extremely light, powerful fine soldering iron with a wide selection of affordable permanent soldering tips. 150 W power ensures the fastest heat-up and recovery times. Process window alarm, energy power levels and automatic stand-by sensor give i-CON users an unprecedented level of process control.
The i-Tool’s calibration data is stored on the circuit board in the soldering iron handle. This calibration is independent of the control station, so all i-Tools can be calibrated at a central location.
The integrated Tip’N’Turn bayonet lock ensures that tips can be changed quickly and easily and also improves performance by 20-25% compared to screw connections.
Chip Tool VARIO
The Chip Tool VARIO desoldering tweezers are characterized by powerful performance (2 x 40 W) and a very compact design. This makes them ideal for the finest soldering work on very small SMD components. The pluggable heating element pairs can be precisely aligned with each other on the handle and can be quickly changed at any time. A switchover element allows the user to change the self-closing to self-opening operation of this precision tool. Like the i-Tool and the i-Tool AIR S, the Chip Tool VARIO has the proven and reliable motion sensor for activation from standby mode.
– Energy consumption in standby approx. 20W
